Enterprise Account Executive — New Business

VAST Data | United Kingdom

Location: UK (hybrid / field-based, with travel across territory)
Reports to: Sales Director, UK & Ireland / VP Sales, EMEA
Function: New Business Sales

About VAST Data

VAST Data is one of the fastest-growing infrastructure companies in the world, building the data platform at the heart of the AI era. By collapsing the traditional trade-offs between performance, capacity, and cost, VAST enables organizations to run their most demanding AI, analytics, and high-performance workloads on a single, unified platform — at exabyte scale. We work with enterprises, research institutions, cloud providers, and government bodies who are reimagining what their data can do.

This is a rare opportunity to sell a genuinely differentiated technology into a market that is expanding faster than almost any other.

The Role

We're looking for a driven, high-calibre new business hunter to win net-new enterprise logos across the UK. This is a pure new-logo role for someone who thrives on opening doors, running complex sales cycles from first meeting to signature, and building a territory from the front foot. You'll be selling a category-defining platform to technical and executive buyers who are actively investing in AI and data infrastructure.

You will own your patch end to end: pipeline generation, qualification, stakeholder mapping, commercial negotiation, and close — supported by a strong pre-sales, channel, and marketing engine.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What You'll Do

  • Identify, target, and win net-new enterprise accounts across your UK territory, consistently building and progressing a healthy pipeline of 3–4x quota.
  • Run complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, engaging technical buyers (CTO, Head of AI/ML, HPC and infrastructure leaders) and economic buyers (CIO, CFO) alike.
  • Develop and execute a clear territory and account plan, prioritising the accounts where VAST's differentiation is most compelling.
  • Partner closely with pre-sales / systems engineering to shape technical wins, and with the channel and alliances team to extend reach through partners (Dell, CDW, NTT, and others).
  • Lead commercial negotiations through to close, managing forecasting and deal hygiene accurately within the CRM.
  • Act as a credible, consultative voice for customers navigating AI and data-infrastructure decisions — becoming a trusted advisor rather than a vendor.
  • Represent VAST at industry and partner events across the territory.

What You'll Bring

  • A demonstrable track record of overachievement in new business enterprise sales, ideally within data storage, data infrastructure, cloud, AI/ML, or adjacent enterprise technology.
  • Genuine hunter DNA — you generate your own pipeline and are energized by winning first logos, not just farming existing accounts.
  • Experience running complex, high-value sales cycles with multiple stakeholders and long-term technical evaluations.
  • The commercial and technical fluency to hold a credible conversation with senior technical buyers about performance, scale, and AI workloads.
  • Strong territory and account planning discipline, with accurate forecasting.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving, high-growth environment where you'll help build as much as sell.
  • Established relationships within the UK enterprise and/or partner ecosystem are a strong advantage.
