Regional Sales Executive
Jewson is seeking a Regional Sales Executive to manage and grow a portfolio of accounts across York, Pickering, Malton, and Driffield in North and East Yorkshire. You will build strong customer relationships, drive profitable sales, and deliver a seamless experience through proactive engagement and effective project follow-up. Working closely with branch teams and suppliers, you will ensure orders run smoothly while identifying opportunities to grow, onboard, and reactivate accounts. Success relies on strong teamwork, collaborating with branches and peers to deliver consistent results.
Job Purpose
To provide day-to-day sales support for your respective branches & account portfolio customers including managing estimates, orders & projects. Acting as the key contact for customers, this role works across the Branch network to ensure orders are managed, while building strong loyal relationships, identifying new opportunities, whilst actively supporting the growth of sales across assigned account portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow your assigned account portfolio.
- Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of customers to maintain and improve profitability.
- Be proactive, responsive, and visible, including regular site visits and customer check-ins.
- Simplify the customer experience by ensuring close management of all owned accounts.
- Follow up and requote projects as required to meet or exceed agreed revenue, margin, and growth targets across assigned customer base.
- Work closely with branches to ensure customer orders are prioritised, accurate, and aligned to site schedules and specific delivery requirements.
- Provide specification & product data as required.
- Support branches with the onboarding of new accounts, ensuring that they start and continue to spend.
- Acquire a thorough understanding of customer needs and requirements, expanding relationships by continuously proposing solutions that meet the customer’s needs.
- Target dormant and lapsed accounts to reactivate them.
- Build strong supplier relationships & work in partnership to secure & grow customer business.
- Demonstrate strong team ethics by working collaboratively with branches and colleagues, overcoming challenges together and supporting one another to deliver consistently strong outcomes for customers.

Experience Required
- Experience within a sales, account management, or customer support role.
- Commercial and pricing awareness of margins, rebates, delivery charges, and credit processes.
- Clear and professional communicator across phone, email, and in-person; able to build relationships with customers at all levels, local branches, suppliers, and regional support teams.
- Project coordination, prioritisation, and multitasking skills.
- Organisational skills with the ability to manage your own diary.
- Full UK Driving licence.
- Experience within a builders’ merchant, supplier, or construction-related role is desirable.
