Regional Sales Manager
Sales Manager – Lighting & Specification (Leeds & Yorkshire)
Location: Leeds / Yorkshire Region Type: Full-time, Permanent Sector: Lighting, Lighting Controls, Automation, Technical Specification

Own and grow one of the warmest, most positive regions in the UK lighting market. Drive both existing accounts and new business across consultants, contractors, end-users and specifiers, representing a high-quality technical lighting and controls portfolio.

- Work closely with internal design, technical, and project teams to ensure smooth delivery and customer satisfaction

- Feed insights back into product, marketing, and leadership to support continuous improvement and competitive positioning
Essential Experience
Proven technical sales professional with experience in:
Industry Knowledge
- Lighting industry experience, ideally specification-led (e.g., architectural, commercial, industrial, or exterior)
- OR technical product sales with a specification focus, including:
- Lighting controls
- Building automation
- Smart systems
- Electrical products
- Sensors
- IoT
Relationships & Performance
- Strong relationships across:
- Consultants
- Contractors
- Specifiers in the region
- Track record of:
- Growing a territory
- Converting project-based opportunities

Technical & Sales Skills
- Ability to:
- Understand technical product features
- Translate them into customer value
Communication & Soft Skills
- Confident communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Desirable (But Not Essential)
- Experience delivering CPDs or technical presentations
- Knowledge of:
- DALI, KNX, BACnet, or lighting control ecosystems
- Understanding of:
- Building automation
- Smart buildings
- Energy-efficiency technologies
- Existing network across Yorkshire’s M&E consultants, architects, and contractors
