Experienced Sales Person – Material Handling Equipment (Forklifts & Warehouse Trucks)

We are seeking an experienced Sales Person to join our Sales Team, responsible for selling and promoting our full range of material handling equipment, including forklifts and warehouse trucks. About The Role

The Sales Person will specialise in selling materials handling solutions (industry-leading products) while providing exceptional customer service across multiple industry sectors. Key day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Nurturing customer relationships – Through regular visits and communication, gain deep insights into clients’ future equipment needs.
  • Building relationships with new prospects – Identify and engage with target accounts to expand the sales base.
  • Conducting site surveys – Assess requirements, identify equipment specifications, and tailor solutions accordingly.
  • Creating and presenting proposals – Develop comprehensive offers and presentan effective sales strategies balanced on site exercises.
  • End-to-end order management – Handle all administrative processes relating to truck orders, from query to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sell our full range of material handling equipment (forklifts, warehouse trucks, and industry solutions).
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication.
  • Identify growth opportunities by targeting new prospects and understanding sector-specific needs.
  • Proactively convey expertise by providing technical insights and bespoke solutions.
  • Maintain high standards in customer service and administrative management of sales processes.

Requirements

We’re looking for a self-motivated individual with a proven track record in B2B sales – ideally within field sales, materials handling, or capital equipment. While experience in materials handling sales is advantageous, we’ll provide full product training to ensure you’re equipped for success.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong commercial awareness and deep understanding of business needs.
  • Confident sales communication – skilled in presentations, negotiations, and building influential arguments.
  • Excelling negotiation skills – capable of closing deals while maintaining long-term relationships.
  • High supervisory planning and organisation – able to manage multiple client interactions efficiently.
  • Computing proficiency – experienced with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Full and valid UK driving licence (an essential requirement for this role).
