Location: North of England (regional travel across Tarmac and customer sites) Region: Yorkshire and North of England Sector: Construction / Aggregates / Asphalt / Building Materials Reporting to: Regional Commercial Lead

Are you a high-calibre commercial operator / Regional Sales Manager with aspirations to lead and develop a team within a market-leading organisation? Are you commercially astute, highly motivated and passionate not only about growing business but also about developing people and capability for the future?

If you thrive on building strong customer relationships, driving sustainable growth and want to progress your career within a business that invests in its people, this could be the perfect opportunity.

This role will suit an experienced external sales or account management professional from the construction, aggregates, asphalt or wider building materials sector, who is motivated by:

  • Managing and strategically growing key customer accounts
  • Developing new commercial opportunities within an established territory
  • Delivering profitable, sustainable growth
  • Operating confidently in a fast-paced, operationally complex environment

You’ll be commercially astute, resilient, and organised with the ability to influence customers and internal stakeholders alike.

The Role

As Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for delivering sales performance across Asphalt and Aggregates, while promoting Tarmac’s value-added and sustainable solutions.

Working closely with operational, technical and commercial colleagues, you will drive growth within existing accounts, secure new business through trading, and ensure customers receive a consistently high level of service.

This is a field-based role, covering Yorkshire and the north of England, with autonomy to manage your territory while being fully supported by a wider regional and national team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
