We recognise that our success, and future success, is tied directly to our people. We are looking to welcome a Regional Sales Manager to join our journey in delivering perfectly groomed turf.
About The Role
This is a full-time role based remotely, covering our EMEA region. While we welcome applications from across the UK, the ideal location for this role is the Midlands or North of England.
Your Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Achieving the monthly, quarterly and annual sales objectives set for your regional zone, as well as any targets that may be set from time to time, via a Hybrid sales approach;
- Executing & contributing to the dealer/distribution strategy of your zone to enable Ransomes Jacobsen to improve its sales;
- Achieving all margin objectives that are set, and controlling outstanding receivables for customers you are responsible for;
- Agreeing an Annual Business Plan with each dealer/distributor in your zone where appropriate, against specific objectives set by the Company. Additionally, to put in place Dealer/Distributor Development Plans that increase the professionalism and effectiveness of each dealer/distributor;
- Enhancing brand perception by carrying out end user visits, with or without dealer/distributor sales personnel present, and performing product demonstrations to build end-user relationships;
- Identifying, developing and promoting new sales opportunities via a Hybrid sales approach;
- Identifying and establishing an independent and financially secure dealer/distributor network for the Ransomes Jacobsen product range;
- Identifying dealer/distributor training needs and recommending/executing product and sales training as necessary;
- Keeping updated records on all dealers and customers, including: providing timely visit reports following all visits; a weekly itinerary; and, a detailed monthly report on all aspects of your sales operation;
- Identifying and reporting vulnerabilities in the Company’s sales activities;
- Safely maintaining and protecting all Company assets controlled by yourself;
- Ensuring all Company systems, policies and procedures are followed and implemented correctly;
- Promoting and assisting with the promotion of all Ransomes Jacobsen brands, regardless of whether the brand is within your remit.

About You
As a Regional Sales Manager, we would ask you bring the following skills and experience:
- Educated to Degree/A Level or equivalent;
- Minimum of five years’ commercial experience and three years’ experience in a related industry;
- IT literate;
- Full driving licence;
- Excellent commercial awareness and interpersonal skills;
- Customer service oriented;
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to manage workload and excel at prioritising and organising tasks;
- Technical aptitude.
