General Description:
The Microwave Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing all sales activities within the Europe geographic territory for all microwave products from Knowles Precision Devices. Focus will be on new opportunity identification and sales revenue growth while working with direct customers, manufacturer’s representatives, and distributors.
Responsibilities:
- Defining both potential and existing opportunities.
- Developing a strategic plan that will position the company's services and products to maximize market share.
- Identify new product and account opportunities and compile quote information on competitive products.
- Respond to requests for quotes, providing detailed price quotes on prospective business opportunities.
- Monitoring the results of sales activities against planned objectives. Reporting the results to senior management and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Build long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers, including key personnel in engineering, R&D, manufacturing, and purchasing.
- Achieve assigned sales, account development, and other targets.
- Functioning as a key participant in sales negotiations with major customers in closing sales.
- Develop forecasting plans.
- Provide support to reps and distributors based on knowledge of products and applications.
- Training and technical support to rep/distributors.
- Assist the communication between rep/distributors and Knowles Microwave factories.
- Utilize sales management software tools as provided by the business.

Job Specifications:
- Advanced verbal communication skills, including group presentation, negotiation, and influencing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, distributors, sales representatives, and managers.
- Advanced knowledge of consultative sales approach and closing techniques.
- Ability to prepare complex written reports and other documents.
- Work from home and set schedule accordingly.
- Must be able to travel between home and various customer locations.
- Expected travel is approximately 50%+ overnight.
- Prefer home office be based in Germany or the UK.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven track record of sales growth in previous positions.
- Relevant electrical/electronic manufacturing product and Defense industry knowledge preferred.
- Experience selling passive components and/or experience in calling on the Microwave/RF market is preferred.
- 5+ years’ experience in microwave industry of components/systems sales for OEM’s.
