We are recruiting for a Regional Sales Manager to generate and deliver growth across our sites in the Midlands. This is an autonomous sales role, where you will promote our brand and sell a range of services, focusing on our in-house domestic pallet network. You will utilise our central support teams including our solution design, operations and finance to ideate, develop and close new business opportunities. You will have a strong and engaging personality, and be skilled at generating leads, building relationships and converting new business opportunities.

We’re looking to offer a competitive salary, plus car and bonus. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What You’ll Do On a Typical Day
- Lead new business development
- Create and execute prospecting plans, to successfully build a pipeline of new business opportunities
- Robustly qualify leads and project manage new revenue opportunities
- Cost customer profiles using internal cost models
- Create and present winning customer solutions and commercial proposals
- Represent XPO Logistics at trade shows and networking events, building and nurturing your list of contacts as you go
- On-board new customers with a successful handover to the Account Management team

What You Need To Succeed At XPO
- Experience of working in new business development within 3rd party logistics, manufacturing, consumer and/or industrial industry verticals
- Experience of working in a pallet network sales role is preferential
- A proven track record of winning new business in logistics and transport
- Be fully conversant on current trends in UK and global supply chains, with an understanding of what these trends mean for potential new customers
- A driven approach to sales and pipeline generation
- Resilient, creative and focused on selling solutions and closing new business wins
