MacGregor Black are partnering with a leading UK retail business on the search for a Regional Sales Manager – Convenience Retail & Forecourt. This is a permanent role covering the South West and South Coast.

This is an outstanding opportunity to lead a large multi-site retail operation, taking full ownership of commercial performance, operational excellence and people development across your region. You'll spend the majority of your time in stores, supporting your leadership team to improve standards, grow sales and create exceptional customer experiences. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll identify opportunities, implement improvements and build a high-performing culture across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver regional sales, profit and operational KPI targets.
  • Drive store performance through strong commercial planning and execution.
  • Identify opportunities to improve sales, margin, availability and cost control.
  • Analyse performance data to prioritise actions and deliver sustainable improvements.
  • Coach, develop and inspire Area Managers and Store Managers.
  • Build succession plans and develop future talent.
  • Lead performance management, engagement and accountability across the region.
  • Recruit, retain and develop high-performing teams.
  • Ensure consistently high retail standards across every location.
  • Drive compliance across health & safety, food safety, audit and company policies.
  • Improve stock availability, shrinkage, waste and overall store execution.
  • Lead regional implementation of business initiatives and operational improvements.
  • Deliver a first-class shopping experience across every site.
  • Use customer insight and feedback to improve service standards.
  • Champion operational consistency and excellent retail execution.
  • Work closely with Operations, Buying, Supply Chain, HR and Commercial teams.
  • Support new store developments, refits and business projects.
  • Share best practice across the wider retail operation.

  • Proven experience leading multi-site retail operations as a Regional Manager, Area Manager or equivalent.
  • Background within convenience retail, forecourt, grocery or food retail.
  • Demonstrable success delivering commercial growth across multiple locations.
  • Strong leadership capability with experience developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to interpret data and improve performance.
  • Highly visible, hands-on leadership style with a passion for coaching.
  • Strong understanding of retail compliance, with food safety experience desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the region.
