At Henderson Group, we are proud to be one of Northern Ireland’s leading organisations. Employing more than 6,000 colleagues across the UK and Ireland, the group encompasses Henderson Wholesale, Henderson Retail, Henderson Foodservice & Henderson Technology.

Henderson Wholesale is a leading Wholesaler in Northern Ireland, supplying goods to over 450 stores across various brands including SPAR, EUROSPAR and VIVO. We source from local farmers, growers and producers and are proud to contribute to our local economy and environment. We are an Investors in People GOLD Accredited employer.

A look into the role:

The purpose of the Regional Sales Manager is to drive wholesale and retail sales through the leadership of a team of Business Development Managers, and to ensure that our new and existing retailers are achieving expected margins through the highest delivery of retail operating standards. This role will cover more than 90 stores operating under the Vivo brand in Northern Ireland.

Working as Regional Sales Manager you will:

  • Provide strategic direction to your Business Development Manager team through effective communication and performance management processes.
  • Influence and persuade our competitors to join our brands.

  • Monitor all planning and development activity in the territory to identify retail development opportunities.
  • Develop and implement effective business development plans for Vivo stores.
  • Analyse retailer P&L accounts, giving guidance on performance to allow the stores to achieve their net profit targets.
  • Build successful relationships with other departments within the Henderson Group and external stakeholders, promoting the Company and our brands within the marketplace.
  • Develop and coach retailers to support continual improvement, introducing effective plans to increase customer’s margins and reduce costs.
  • Develop a substantial knowledge of our competitor marketplace.
  • Facilitate weekly and monthly meetings with Business Development Managers and support the Sales Leadership Team at quarterly and biannual meetings.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
