Position: Divisional Sales Manager

Location: Field Based, England. We are ideally seeking a candidate based in Greater London, the Home Counties or Birmingham.

Job Type: Full time, Permanent (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday)

Salary: £50-65,000.00 per annum (depending on experience) + annual bonus

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to apply for the role of Divisional Sales Manager with Matthew Algie on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a field-based role covering the South of England and Wales.

The role of the Divisional Sales Manager is to lead a team of Coffee Sales Managers to deliver sustainable sales growth, protect and enhance profitability, secure new business opportunities, and maximise customer retention across the division. The role is responsible for driving divisional sales performance through effective leadership, strategic planning, and execution of company objectives, while ensuring exceptional customer relationships and commercial excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Performance

  • Deliver divisional sales, profit, and growth targets.
  • Develop and execute the annual divisional sales plan.
  • Drive new business acquisition and market penetration.
  • Improve customer retention and reduce churn.
  • Manage and review sales pipeline performance.

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, develop, coach, and manage Coffee Sales Managers.
  • Set clear targets, KPIs, and performance standards.
  • Conduct regular one-to-ones, field coaching, and performance reviews.
  • Build a high-performing and accountable sales team.

Customer Management

  • Maintain relationships with key customers.
  • Support major account growth and retention.
  • Act as the senior field sales contact for the division.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service.

Planning & Reporting

  • Oversee territory and account growth plans.
  • Ensure CRM is fully utilised and maintained.
  • Monitor performance against budgets and targets.
  • Provide accurate reporting and forecasting.

Financial Control

  • Deliver budgeted revenue and margin targets.
  • Control divisional operating costs and expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Year-on-year sales growth

Essential Experience

  • Proven sales leadership experience.
  • Experience managing field-based sales teams.
  • Track record of delivering sales growth and commercial targets.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform under pressure.
