The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be leading a team of Pharmacy Sales Representatives across defined UK regions, promoting the customer’s OTC products across regional pharmacy networks, multiple brands and indications. The RSM is accountable for ensuring the team meets/exceeds their sales goals in line with individual, regional and national business plans. The RSM will be actively involved on a day-to-day basis with coaching, training and developing the Pharmacy Sales Reps individually and collectively to successfully manage their territories. The RSM will ensure that everyone is set up for success, ensure that they are engaging with the targeted Pharmacies both remotely and face to face with the appropriate channels and are hitting the KPI’s agreed in the contract with the customer.
You will:
- Lead a team of Pharmacy Sales Representatives across the assigned region, promoting the product to targeted Pharmacists and identified accounts to achieve/exceed agreed business sales targets, using the right message, through the right channel
- Direct the team to acquire the appropriate Pharmacists’ consents and set calls to support the uptake and retention of the OTC customer’s portfolio within the assigned region
- Work closely with the team and the customer to develop plans that effectively translate national strategies at the geographic area level
- Working in a broader matrix ecosystem as part of Syneos Health (SYNH) and the customer’s team, being part of joint training and sales meetings and running regional sales meetings as appropriate
- Work with the team to ensure they acquire Pharmacists’ Consent and are competent in all detailed modalities and channels
- Support and coach the team to be tech savvy when it comes to using all systems and databases for Pharmacists’ engagement, remote calling and data input for call reporting
- Accountable for overseeing regional expense budgets; ensure appropriate return on investment
- Responsible for signing off the team’s holiday requests and expense reports
- Ensure all CRM and call reporting activities are completed in line with agreed KPIs
- Ensure the sales team deploy ethical and compliant practices across the country and in line with national laws and requirements
- Responsible for ensuring the team complete all of the required SOPs and Training for SYNH and the customer
- Develop and maintain customer relationships with key executives and decision influencers/makers in all key accounts

Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree – Life Sciences
- Proven experience of leading and managing a highly performing field-based sales team that has worked across primary care
- Previous experience of leadership in a similar market is preferred.
- Current experience of leading and managing a team in a multi-channel approach to including the use of e-detailing, remote call applications and other digital approaches would be hugely beneficial
- Outstanding regional business planning and execution and previous success of sales uptake across a region
- Solid written and verbal communication skills, with excellent organisation skills.
- Excellent presentation and selling skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to use Sales Force, Veeva and other digital reporting systems to deliver sales targets
- Budgetary and Financial competence
