Syntegon Technology Ltd., based in Derby, UK, is part of the Syntegon Group. In Derby we manage all service activities in the UK and Ireland for both the food and pharmaceutical customers.

Kliklok International Ltd., based in Bristol, UK is part of the Syntegon Group. We specialize in highly efficient and reliable secondary packaging machinery, with Syntegon technologies being used in industries such as bakery, snack, cereal, frozen and refrigerated foods, and confectionery.

The job holder will be required to be the nominated responsible person for Health & Safety at both locations.

What you can expect:

Your role is to be the first point of contact as Regional Sales for every new machine enquiry. You will be supported before, during and after the meetings by our technical experts, via Teams or in person. You will be responsible for the technical-commercial aspects for our Horizontal, Secondary and Vertical portfolio within the food business in the East Midlands/South East UK Area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for a defined sales area for the Food Horizontal, Secondary and Vertical production lines. Within this area, identify the needs for new equipment of existing and new customers.
  • Acquisition of new customers within focus region and maintaining the relationship with existing customers.
  • General market research to find further potential customers.
  • Monitoring market trends and competitors within defined sales area.
  • Active prospection and follow-up on Industry Marketing Campaigns.
  • Being part of a KPI driven business
  • Planning and preparing for customer visits and the submission of the subsequent visit reports.
  • Support the back-office teams in preparation of offers (ensuring customers and project data is complete and correct).
  • Participation in and dealing with customers at trade fairs.
  • Close collaboration between the various internal departments both locally and abroad.
  • Prepare reports on all sales activities, including travel expenses, in a timely fashion
  • Manage customers, leads, opportunities within the Syntegon CRM tool
  • Handle contract negotiations with the support of your manager and the various back offices.
  • Receive technical support from the various factories whenever needed, via Teams or in person.
  • Ensuring that the sales margins are on targets.
  • Following up on technical documents to be signed, as well as payments as per agreed schedule.
  • Customer centric with one face to the customer.
  • Close collaboration with your Services colleagues to ensure long-term customer satisfaction

What you'll bring:

  • Strong sales experience within capital sales of packaging equipment
  • Strong exposure/relationships within the dry food industry
  • Experienced in value selling techniques.
  • Working experience with technology market leaders (high end products)
  • Knowledge of Horizontal, Secondary and Vertical Packaging in the food industry
  • Excellent customer management skills, strong interpersonal skills.
  • Team spirit and open book mentality
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Sales
  • Computer skills (Teams, CRM, MS Office).
  • Travel readiness, both domestic and within Europe, up to 60% of the time.
