The Role
As Regional Sales Manager, you will represent the full Chart and Howden product portfolio across Southern England, Ireland, and Northern Ireland - spending roughly three weeks each month in Southern England and one week supporting customers across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
This is a high impact, customer facing role where you will grow our aftermarket and engineered product sales across three key sectors: Industrial (50%), Water (35%), and Cryogenic applications (15%). With such a broad portfolio, you’ll have multiple pathways to create value for customers and unlock new opportunities.
You’ll build strong relationships with end users, contractors, and consultants, positioning our products and services throughout the full lifecycle - from new equipment sales to installation, commissioning, warranty, upgrades, and long term service agreements. Supported by our technical specialists, you’ll assess customer needs, develop technical solutions, and drive bookings that strengthen our installed base.
If you thrive on autonomy, enjoy being in front of customers, and want a role where you can influence strategy, shape markets, and sell across a diverse product range, this position offers the scope and variety to make a real impact.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
