Reports to: North of England Regional Sales Manager - Wound Closure

Role Overview
We are seeking applications from experienced Surgical First Assistants, Surgical Care Practitioners, or commercially successful Medical Device Sales Professionals with experience in sutures, wound closure, or the wider surgical environment.
The Regional Sales Specialist is responsible for accelerating growth of the Wound Closure and Adhesives portfolio across NHS and Private Sector accounts through strategic account development, specialty expansion, new product adoption and contract implementation.
The Primary Responsibilities Include
- Driving specialty expansion for Surgery in existing and previously untapped surgical areas.
- Supporting delivery of regional sales performance through strategic account development and NPI execution.
- Leading implementation and delivery of private-sector contracts.

The successful candidate will be commercially focused, a strategic thinker and capable of driving innovation, fostering collaboration, and working effectively with high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities
Specialty Expansion – Surgery
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to penetrate existing and future surgical areas.
- Focus on opportunity development and sales growth in key strategic accounts
- Collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders to drive a unified approach to account planning.
- Conduct market analysis, segmentation, and competitive benchmarking to identify target opportunities.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to build evidence-based value propositions and educational content.
Commercial & Strategic Growth Delivery
- Support delivery of regional sales targets through focused strategic account development
- Drive commercial excellence through the execution of New Product Introduction (NPI) plans
- Identify and convert high-value growth opportunities within priority accounts
Private Sector Contracting & Implementation
- Lead the implementation, delivery, and ongoing optimisation of contracts within the private sector
- Ensure operational excellence, compliance, and sustained value realisation across private-sector partnerships
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure smooth onboarding and execution of contractual agreements
- Monitor contract performance, identifying opportunities to increase product adoption and commercial impact
Leadership Expectations
- Act as a role model for cross-functional collaboration and customer-centricity
- Inspire and motivate team members to achieve ambitious goals
- Drive innovation and best practices in marketing and sales enablement
- Represent the business unit in strategic planning sessions
- Be a valued member of the Surgery team, delivering insights that drive strategy development
Qualifications & Skills
To excel in this role, experience in working with or having previously sold within sutures and wound closure is essential with a proven track record success within medical devices sales or the wider surgical environment.
- Demonstrated business development or marketing experience in MedTech or healthcare, with a track record of success in strategy development and execution.
- Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
- Expertise in sales enablement and market development demonstrated through strong track record of consistency in delivering against target expectations.
- Ability to communicate aims, objectives, and expectations clearly, engagingly, and inspiringly.
- Effective delegation and prioritisation skills, enabling efficient work and empowering others to broaden their leadership experience.
