About the Role
We believe that the teaching of Mathematics is one of the most transformative responsibilities we hold across the Oasis Trust. Maths is not simply a subject; it is a way of thinking that empowers young people to solve problems, make sense of the world, and approach challenges with logic, creativity, and confidence. From financial literacy to data-driven decision-making, mathematics equips students with essential skills for their futures.
To achieve our ambition of making Maths meaningful, accessible, and inspiring for every student, we need a leader who can bring the subject to life. Someone who understands the craft of mathematical thinking and who knows how to ignite curiosity in young people.
We need a Maths specialist who believes every student can succeed, and who can design and deliver a curriculum that builds confidence, deepens understanding, and supports progression for all.
Responsibilities
The Regional Subject Lead for Maths' responsibility for delivering this vision and ambition relies on the effective implementation of our Maths strategy across all of our secondary academies.
- Strategic Direction & Support: Ensuring consistency of subject quality and delivery across Oasis, raising outcomes by improving the quality of teaching and learning, analysing performance data - all as part of the national subject team.
- Building Capacity: Provision of support and coaching for teachers and leaders to improve the quality of teaching and learning.
- Teaching and Learning: Be an active and exemplary practitioner, modelling best practice in all aspects of your subject. Willing to share your expertise through teaching, team teaching, facilitation, and co-facilitation.

- You'll report into the relevant Regional Director (with supervision from the National Subject Lead) in a trusted working partnership as well as collaboratively engaging and knowledge sharing with other leaders across the Trust.

What We Are Looking For
You'll be an experienced educationalist and subject specialist with strong subject-specific assessment expertise. You will have worked in a senior role in an educational establishment and be able to demonstrate strong subject leadership and influencing skills.
