About the Role
The Regional SQE Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the Supplier Quality Assurance program across the Europe Region.
This role ensures that all outsourced components and materials meet stringent engineering specifications and Moog's high-reliability production standards. This role will strategically manage the Europe supplier quality team, serving as the central liaison between Moog's suppliers and internal Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain functions.
A core focus will be on driving rigorous adherence to Moog’s supplier quality processes, significantly improving overall supplier Quality and Delivery performance through the implementation of robust continuous improvement initiatives, formal risk mitigation, and the development of high-trust supplier partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Execute and deploy the global Supplier Quality Strategy throughout the Europe region to achieve Commercial Aircraft Group (CAG) business objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs).
- Direct and drive timely, effective closure of Supplier Corrective Actions (SCARs) to ensure robust supplier QMS and manufacturing process improvement.
- Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain and Engineering to resolve complex technical and process challenges at the supplier level.
- Ensure compliance with supplier audit process.
- Drive measurable continuous improvement through joint improvement projects with suppliers.
- Align supplier and Moog inspection methodology and specification concurrence.
- Serve as the regional process owner for Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), ensuring successful product launches and transfers.
- Conduct advanced data analysis and trending of regional supplier quality data to identify systemic issues and improvement opportunities.
- Identify, develop, and deliver targeted training for SQE team members and suppliers to elevate regional technical skills and quality knowledge.
- Lead critical quality and delivery escalations, implementing containment and permanent corrective actions to minimize impact on operational and customer commitments.
- Cultivate and strengthen strategic supplier relationships across the Europe footprint.

Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Quality Management, including at least 5 years in a dedicated Supplier Quality Engineering or Supplier Development role.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, or Industrial preferred). Master’s preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving sustained, data-driven results in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading and managing a geographically dispersed team of engineering professionals.
- Expert application of formal Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5-Why, Is/Is Not).
- Strong working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Capability Studies, and Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA).
- Deep working knowledge and proven application of Aerospace Quality Standards (AS9100 / ISO 9001).
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and develop technical talent.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Practical experience with APQP, PPAP, or equivalent New Product Introduction (NPI) methodology.
- Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
- Project Management Certification (PMP).
- Certified Quality Auditor (e.g., AS9100 Lead Auditor, CQE) or significant prior auditing experience.
- Proficiency in advanced statistical software and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge and application of AS13000 problem solving skills.
- Understand UK CAA and EASA requirements.
- IAQG knowledge.
