Job Overview
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Regional Support Manager will provide operational and clinical support to a portfolio of care homes across the North East. You will work closely with Home Managers to drive quality, compliance, operational performance, and continuous improvement, ensuring each home delivers outstanding care and achieves its full potential.

This is a varied and hands-on role requiring strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to support homes through periods of change, development, and regulatory inspection.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide targeted operational and clinical support to care homes across the North East region.
- Support Home Managers in achieving and maintaining high standards of care, governance, and regulatory compliance.
- Work alongside Home Managers to prepare for and respond to CQC inspections, driving continuous improvement and striving for Good and Outstanding ratings.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement action plans in collaboration with the Regional Director of Operations.
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators, quality metrics, occupancy, staffing, and financial performance to support informed decision-making.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to Home Managers and senior teams, promoting best practice and professional development.
- Support homes during periods of transition, including manager absence, service improvement, or mobilisation.
- Ensure company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements are consistently implemented across the region.
- Promote a culture of high-quality, person-centred care and continuous improvement throughout all services.
- Work collaboratively with internal departments and external stakeholders to achieve operational excellence.

About You
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, quality standards, and governance.
- Demonstrable experience of supporting homes to improve compliance and performance.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to interpret performance data and develop effective improvement plans.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
Requirements
- Desirable registered Nurse with a current NMC PIN.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Registered Care Home Manager.
- At least 5 years' experience working within elderly residential, nursing, or dementia care.
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
