Clinical Regional Support Manager | Elderly Care Homes

London, Surrey, Sussex & Hampshire
£80,000 – £85,000 + bonus / mileage and benefit

Remit

Compass Associates are proud to be working with a valued client in their recruitment for an experienced Clinical Regional Support Manager to support a portfolio of elderly care homes across London, Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly expanding, privately backed care provider at a pivotal stage of growth, taking regional responsibility for a mixed portfolio of self-funded luxury and acquired services.

You will be responsible for providing hands-on operational support to Home Managers, supporting acquired services, launching a newly inspected luxury home, and ensuring high standards of care, compliance and commercial performance are consistently delivered across the region.

The Candidate

The successful candidate must have experience within elderly care, with a proven track record of supporting multiple care homes and driving operational improvement. Candidates may currently be working as a Regional Support Manager, Regional Operations Manager, Peripatetic Manager, or as a senior General Manager with multi-site regional exposure looking to make the natural step into a dedicated regional role. Standard Home Manager step-ups will not be considered for this position.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The ideal candidate will bring the confidence and credibility to operate with genuine autonomy, working in a high-trust environment where the Regional Director engages on a weekly planning basis rather than through daily reporting. Strong commercial acumen is essential, alongside the clinical credibility to hold oversight of clinical governance across a mixed portfolio spanning turnaround, established Good services, an Outstanding push, and an unrated luxury new build.

The company is looking for the very best talent in the sector – professionals who are driven, resilient and passionate about delivering high-quality elderly care while thriving in a trust-based, high-autonomy operating model within a rapidly growing group.

Requirements

  • Must be a qualified nurse with an active NMC pin – this is non-negotiable and lapsed pins will not be considered
  • Must have experience within elderly care, ideally supporting multiple care homes regionally
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, compliance, and operational performance management
  • Excellent leadership, communication and people management skills
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience supporting occupancy, budgets, and service improvement plans
  • Comfortable operating across both self-funded and local authority funded services
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the region, including some nights away where required
