Regional Technical Sales Manager – Midlands
Location: Birmingham (Office and Field-Based Across the Midlands) Reports to: Sales Director
About the Role
We are seeking a technically minded and commercially driven Regional Technical Sales Manager – Midlands to develop new and existing business opportunities throughout the Midlands region.
This role is ideal for an individual with experience selling technical products or solutions within the following sectors:
- Industrial
- Construction
- Manufacturing
- Facilities management
- Logistics
- Warehousing
- Building services
You will act as a trusted advisor to customers, identifying operational requirements and recommending the most suitable industrial door and access solutions. Working closely with end users, contractors, architects, facilities managers, and project teams, you will:
- Undertake site visits,
- Carry out surveys,
- Provide technical guidance,
- Prepare quotations, and
- Manage opportunities through to successful project completion.
This is a customer-facing role requiring regular travel across the Midlands, supported by our technical, estimating, and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities across:
- Industrial
- Commercial
- Logistics
- Manufacturing
- Public sector markets
- Conduct site surveys and customer consultations to assess operational requirements and recommend appropriate solutions
- Provide technical product expertise across:
- Industrial doors
- Fire-rated timber fire doors
- Automatic entrances
- Loading bay equipment
- Gates
- Barriers
- Engage with:
- Facilities managers
- Building owners
- Contractors
- Consultants
- Procurement teams
- Identify opportunities for:
- New installations
- Upgrades
- Replacements
- Service contracts
- Produce detailed quotations and proposals in collaboration with estimating and operations teams
- Interpret:
- Customer specifications
- Drawings
- Project requirements
- Present technical solutions and product benefits to customers and stakeholders
- Follow up quotations, negotiate commercial agreements, and secure orders
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and forecast opportunities through HubSpot CRM
- Work collaboratively with:
- Installation teams
- Service teams
- Project delivery teams
- Monitor:
- Market trends
- Competitor activity
- Industry developments within the industrial door and access sector
- Represent the company professionally at:
- Customer meetings
- Site visits
- Industry events

- Proven experience within:
- Technical sales
- Specification sales
- Business development roles
- Knowledge of:
- Industrial doors
- Loading systems
- Automatic doors
- Access control
- Building products
- Construction products
- Engineering solutions (highly advantageous)

- CRM systems, such as HubSpot
- Microsoft Office

Experience with HubSpot and SAP Business One (desirable)

Used to working with multiple KPIs

Full UK Driving Licence essential
