Job Description
Due to continued growth across our retail store estate, we are looking for a highly experienced and commercially focused Regional Trainer to join our friendly Training team on a 12-month maternity cover contract.
Reporting to the Head of Training, you will support frontline retail teams across the London and South region, helping to build product knowledge, selling skills, management capability, and customer experience standards. The overall aim of the role is to support store performance and help teams exceed business objectives.
This is a field-based role, requiring regular travel across the region, store visits 3–4 days per week, occasional overnight stays, and some weekend working depending on business needs.
About the role
As Regional Trainer, you will manage the full learning cycle for your area. This includes identifying learning needs, delivering engaging training sessions, coaching store teams, evaluating training impact, and using business insights to recommend learning solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective training workshops for frontline store teams, both face-to-face and online
- Conduct regular on-the-shopfloor coaching and support, spending 3–4 days per week in stores
- Analyse learning needs using people data, commercial results, business metrics, and frontline feedback to identify skills gaps and recommend learning solutions
- Support Store Managers and retail teams in developing product knowledge, sales skills, customer experience excellence, and management capability
- Create engaging learning content, including bite-sized digital resources and short training videos
- Support the implementation and embedding of training programmes across the region, ensuring knowledge is transferred into everyday store routines
- Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve content and delivery based on feedback and insights
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Store Managers, Area Managers, Retail teams, the wider Training team, and key business stakeholders
- Partner with Retail, Training and wider business functions to support commercial priorities and business objectives
- Complete all training administration, reporting, evaluations, tracker updates, and follow-up actions accurately and on time

Qualifications
- A full clean UK driving license.
- Based in London or the South
- Proven experience in a training, coaching, L&D, or retail development role, ideally within a branded retail environment
- A strong track record of delivering training that positively impacts commercial results
- Excellent selling skills and a strong understanding of premium customer experience
- Experience delivering impactful training in different formats, including classroom, virtual, in-store, and one-to-one coaching
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- The confidence to give constructive feedback during store visits and workshops in a way that is clear, motivating, and well received
- The ability to remain professional, impartial, and solutions-focused when supporting stores and managing feedback from different stakeholders
- A positive, proactive, and solution-focused approach to tasks and projects
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects from beginning to end
- The ability to work independently while keeping relevant stakeholders informed and involved
- Confidence working as part of a remote and field-based team
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Flexibility to travel regularly, including occasional overnight stays and weekend work where required
- Experience in cosmetics, beauty, wellness, or premium retail would be advantageous, but is not essential.
- A qualification in Coaching, Training, Learning & Development, or Retail is desirable, but not mandatory.
