The Marketing Programme
Structure & Rotations
Over three years, you’ll undergo three strategic placements, gaining exposure to:
- UK & Ireland brand-building with iconic brands: Dove, Persil, Sure, and Marmite
- Global/regional brand development, focusing on strategy, product innovation, and advertising
- Customer Development (Sales), including:
- Building business relationships
- Analysing consumer data
- Ownership of financial forecasting
- Negotiating promotions/business plans

Typical Day-to-Day Responsibilities
You’ll deepen your expertise in our brands and consumers, collaborating on activities like:
- Launching new deodorants
- Researching haircare trends
- Exploring sponsorship opportunities
- Planning social-first campaigns
Positions you may work in include:
- Pot Noodle Assistant Brand Manager UKI
- Homecare Disruptive Innovation Assistant Brand Manager
- Global Dove Hair Assistant Brand Manager
- Deodorants Category Management Executive
Skills Required (you’ll develop these further through the programme):
- Brand advocacy
- Media & strategy planning
- Brand visioning/planning
- Performance marketing
- Commercial acumen
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
Selection Process

Profile Assessment
- Two-part cognitive/emotional assessment with personalised feedback.

- 3 short questions + a business case simulating Unilever challenges.

Location & Logistics
- Primary Office: London (Blackfriars or Kingston) – hybrid model (minimum 3 days in-office weekly).
- Travel Requirement: Approximately 10–25% of your time (depending on rotation).
