Join Devereux Educational Strategies and Solutions (DESS) as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and help students develop the skills, confidence, and independence they need to thrive.
In this school-based role in Aston, PA, you'll work directly with students in an emotional support classroom, providing behavioral and emotional support throughout the school day. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you'll implement evidence-based behavioral strategies, support student growth, collect data, and help students achieve success academically, socially, and emotionally.

In This Role, You Will:
- Support students with emotional, behavioral, and social needs throughout the school day
- Implement behavior intervention plans and skill-building programs developed by a BCBA
- Assist with classroom instruction and school-wide PBIS initiatives
- Collect and maintain accurate behavioral and student progress data
- Reinforce positive behaviors and teach replacement skills
- Assist with Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, BCBAs, and other educational professionals to support student success
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment

Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred from an accredited college/university in special education, psychology, or other related field; RBT certification strongly preferred. Will consider candidates in the process to complete RBT Certification.
Experience:
- Must have one year of experience working directly with children or adolescents who experience behavioral challenges.
- Experience with crisis intervention/CPI Safety certification preferred.
- Previous RBT experience preferred, but training and supervision will be provided.
- Must have reliable transportation and the ability to handle crisis level behavior.
