Job details
This role is central to the day-to-day success of the business and contributes directly to operational performance and customer outcomes. As a Registered Building Inspector, you will be responsible for undertaking building control functions in accordance with the Building Act 1984, Building Regulations 2010, Building Safety Act 2022, and associated secondary legislation. Working closely with colleagues across the business to ensure high standards of delivery, compliance and continuous improvement.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced and technical environment and enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and making a tangible impact.
What You Will Do
- Understand and interpret Building Regulations and contract lifecycles, in relation to the application process for instructed works. Keeping up to date with changes in legislation and disseminating this information for our clients.
- Work as part of a team, offering support to peers, Assistant and Trainee Surveyors.
- Provide professional advice within a customer focused environment, ensuring your delivery of instruction/advice is audience appropriate.
- Cross sell other services (CHPK & Celnor) ensuring that our clients have a full suite of support from our organisation.
- Undertake continued Professional Development Training, for ongoing delivery of our service to maintain its high standard, and to provide training and support to the wider team for topics you excel/have an avid interest.
- Examine plans, specifications, calculations, fire strategies, and supporting documentation submitted under the Building Regulations.
- Assess applications for building regulation approval and provide technical support to applicants, agents, designers, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Maintain effective working relationships with the Building Safety Regulator, Fire and Rescue Services, statutory consultees, and other regulatory bodies.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders
- Contribute to continuous improvement, compliance and quality standards

Who You Are
You are an experienced and motivated professional who brings a practical, solutions-focused mindset. You will ideally have:
- Registered Building Inspector
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A high level of attention to detail and accountability
- The ability to manage priorities effectively in a dynamic environment
- A collaborative approach and a commitment to doing things the right way
