Position: Registered Care Manager

Shifts Available: Monday to Friday, 37.50 hours per week, with availability to be on call or work weekends where necessary

What You Will Do:

  • Branch Management: Oversee the day-to-day management and coordination of the branch to ensure efficient and profitable operations while maintaining the highest standard of domiciliary care.
  • CQC Registration: Hold the CQC registration for the branch and ensure compliance with CQC guidelines.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records, produce reports, and investigate complaints from service users and employees.
  • Recruitment and Staffing: Manage the recruitment process, including actively recruiting new care staff, guiding them through onboarding, and creating weekly staffing rotas.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to support the commercial growth of the branch.
  • Operational Compliance: Stay updated on operational issues and methods. Ensure compliance with health and safety, emergency regulations, and operational policies.
  • Operational Review: Regularly review branch operations to ensure all customer needs are met and policies and procedures are communicated and implemented effectively.
  • Quality Service Management: Manage a robust quality service that promotes high standards and positive outcomes for service users.
  • Emergency Duties: Provide emergency hands-on care, undertake on-call duties, attend social events if required, and offer emergency telephone assistance to care staff.
  • Liaison and Coordination: Effectively liaise with other departments, employees, key stakeholders such as commissioners and customers, and the public.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as requested to support the branch’s success.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience in Care Management: Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity in the domiciliary care sector is essential.
  • Qualifications: NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care is required, Level 5 in Health and Social Care is desirable or working towards.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to effectively lead, delegate, and mentor staff.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational abilities with experience in producing staffing rotas and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work flexibly, including extended hours where necessary, and provide hands-on care during staff shortages.
  • Reliability: Reliable and punctual with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of care.
  • Driving License: A valid driving license and access to a vehicle are required.
  • Work Related Car Insurance: Hold or willing to obtain work related car insurance.
  • Background Checks: Willingness to undergo enhanced DBS clearance.
