Registered Care Manager

Registered Care Manager (Domiciliary Care)

South Gloucestershire & North Somerset

Salary: Up to £44,000 per year (DOE) + Bonus + Company Car or Car Allowance Location: South Gloucestershire & North Somerset (covering elements of Berkshire, Surrey, and West London This focus remains whilst leadership and oversight is over wider region.) Hours: Full-time (37 hrs/week)


About the Role

You’ll drive high-quality, person-centred domiciliary care across McCarthy and Stone's developments, leading a team of mobile care professionals. With strong leadership and deep knowledge of CQC compliance, you’ll enable residents to thrive independently while ensuring safe, compassionate, and skilled support.

McCarthy and Stone is recruiting an experienced Registered Care Manager to:

  • Oversee care teams delivering exceptional domiciliary services.
  • Advocate for resident independence through tailored care planning and interventions.
  • Enhance organisational quality, embedding best practice at every level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership:
    • Mentor and supervise Field Care Supervisors and Mobile Care Assistants across multiple sites.
    • Develop and support remote/dispersed care teams with clear guidance.
  • Care Delivery & Compliance:
    • Lead person-centred assessments, care plans, and safeguarding measures.
    • Maintain strict CQC compliance, auditing service quality and standards.
    • Manage risk assessments, care reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Recruit, train, and retain staff to elevate service efficiency and resident satisfaction.
    • Monitor performance metrics, addressing gaps proactively.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Build trust with residents, families, and wider communities.
    • Foster partnerships to sustain high-quality support networks.

About You

We’re seeking a confident, experienced Care Manager with:

✔ Awarding Body qualification required: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent). ✔ Proven expertise as a Registered Care Manager or Domiciliary Care Manager. ✔ Deep CQC knowledge; passion for regulatory excellence and ethical practice. ✔ Leadership credentials in managing teams, service growth, and resource efficiency. ✔ Strong safeguarding background, with contributions to risk reduction. ✔ Full UK driving licence (essential for travel across regions).

  • Care Expertise: Specialised understanding of in-home care assessments and person-centred models.
