Registered Manager – New Children's Residential Home
Easily commutable from Stockport, Manchester and surrounding areas. Salary: £60,000 – £62,000 + outstanding bonus package
About the Role
Are you an experienced Children's Home Registered Manager looking for the opportunity to build and lead a brand-new service from the very beginning?
We are recruiting for a passionate, ambitious, and child-focused Registered Manager to oversee the registration, launch, and ongoing development of a new 4-bed children’s residential home. This is a rare opportunity to:

About the Service
Our new home is designed to provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people with complex needs, including:
- Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)
- Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)
- Moderate and Severe Learning Disabilities
- Mild Physical Disabilities
The home's philosophy is centred on helping young people develop:

The Opportunity

- Partner with a highly experienced Responsible Individual and a supportive leadership team
- Commit to investment in quality care and long-term growth
- Shape operations for the next 18-24 months, with clear progression opportunities and wider operational leadership roles
What’s on Offer?
- £60,000 – £62,000 basic salary
- £800–£1,000 monthly retainer* during the Ofsted registration process
- £5,000 bonus upon successful Ofsted registration
- £1,000 occupancy bonus per child placed

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the home through Ofsted registration and opening
- Develop a positive, child-centred culture focused on outstanding outcomes
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing staff team
- Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
- Develop policies, procedures, and operational systems
- Maintain strong relationships with local authorities, families, and professionals
- Drive quality, occupancy, and service performance
- Work closely with senior leadership to support future growth
- Mentor and develop future leaders within the organisation

About You
To be considered, you will:
- Have experience as a Registered Manager in an Ofsted-regulated children's residential service
- Hold or work towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
- Have a strong understanding of children’s home regulations and Ofsted requirements
- Be a visible, hands-on leader who leads by example
- Be committed to delivering exceptional outcomes for children and young people
- Possess strong recruitment, people management, and team development skills
- Be proactive, solution-focused, and commercially aware
- Have excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
