Registered Band 4 Dental Nurse
Salary: £28,392 - £31,157 per annum Hours per Week: Full-time, 37.5 Position Type: Temporary (12 months)
We are looking for a Registered Band 4 Dental Nurse to join our Maxillofacial Department part time, assisting our Consultants and clinicians across all specialties—including Oral Surgery, Maxillofacial, Restorative, and Orthodontics—on a rotational basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide and maintain high standards of care for all patients with physical disabilities and complex medical conditions, including cancer.
- Liaise and support the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) in a flexible and friendly manner.
- Provide patients with support and maintain high standards of patient assistance, including treatment and care, adhering to approved nursing procedures.
- Prepare the operating theatre, ensuring all instruments and equipment required by the Department are available and maintained professionally.
- Uphold Trust standards in infection control for instruments, including cleaning, reporting defects, and scheduling repairs/replacements.

Qualifications
Essential
- Registered Dental Nurse with current General Dental Council (GDC) registration.
- Experience in all clinical aspects of dental nursing.
Desirable
- Work experience in Oral Surgery, advanced restorative dentistry, orthodontics, and other dental specialties.
- Hospital experience or previous handling of cancer patients (not essential).
- Post-qualification certificate in radiology, orthodontics, implantology, oral health education, or special care (desirable, but not mandatory).
Experience

- Working experience in a clinical dental setting, covering a variety of dental procedures and nursing roles.
Desirable
- Hospital experience or experience with cancer patient care.
