We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Equine Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Oakham Veterinary Hospital Equine on a full-time basis.
Oakham Veterinary Hospital Equine is a busy and progressive equine hospital dedicated to delivering high standards of care across a varied and rewarding caseload. Our team is passionate about equine welfare and works collaboratively to provide outstanding clinical support to both patients and clients.
Working within a well-equipped hospital environment, you will gain exposure to a wide range of cases, from routine care through to complex medical and surgical procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for an equine nurse looking to develop their skills within a supportive and dynamic setting.

How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.
You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern
40 hours per week Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with a 1-hour lunch break Participation in the out-of-hours rota, currently 1 in 6 The out-of-hours rota may vary depending on the needs of the business
General Responsibilities
Deliver high standards of nursing care to hospitalised equine patients Assist veterinary surgeons with procedures, surgery and diagnostics Safely handle and restrain horses across a range of cases Maintain excellent hygiene, sterility and biosecurity standards

Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
