Role Description The Registered Home Manager will lead the day-to-day operations of a care home in Watford, ensuring safe, person-centered care and a supportive environment for residents and staff. This is a full-time, on-site role that includes overseeing care planning, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing staff rotas, and supervising team performance. The role involves working closely with residents, relatives, and external professionals to maintain high standards of care and communication. The Registered Home Manager will be responsible for budget management, quality improvement initiatives, and implementing organizational policies and procedures. The role also includes promoting a positive culture within the home, supporting staff development, and maintaining accurate records and reporting.

Qualifications
- Relevant health and social care qualifications (e.g., Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent) and current registration as a care home manager with the appropriate regulatory body.
- Proven experience managing or deputy managing a residential or dementia care service, with strong knowledge of care regulations, safeguarding, and best practices.
- Leadership and people management skills, including staff supervision, performance management, team building, and supporting learning and development.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills for working with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders, including clinicians and regulatory inspectors.
- Organizational and administrative skills, including care planning, report writing, record keeping, and effective use of care management systems and IT tools.
- Experience in quality assurance, audit, and continuous improvement, with the ability to implement and monitor policies, procedures, and action plans.
- Financial awareness and experience with budget management, resource allocation, and ensuring cost-effective service delivery.
- Ability to work flexibly on-site in Watford, respond to emergencies, and maintain a calm, professional approach in challenging situations.
