REGISTERED HOME MANAGER
ELDERLY CARE
LOCATION: Dundee
Compass Associates are supporting an established elderly care provider in the recruitment of an experienced Registered Home Manager to lead a large, high-quality care home in Dundee.
This is an excellent opportunity for an established Home Manager to take full responsibility for a substantial service and play a key role in shaping its culture, performance and future success.
The role would suit a confident and visible leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional care, developing teams and creating an environment where residents, families and colleagues feel valued and supported.
THE ROLE
As Registered Home Manager, you will hold overall responsibility for the day-to-day operational, commercial and quality performance of the care home.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the operational management of the care home and setting high standards of service delivery
- Ensuring residents are at the centre of the service's philosophy and decision-making
- Providing a safe, stimulating and person-centred environment that promotes dignity, respect and quality of life
- Driving both business performance and quality of care
- Leading, supporting and developing a large multidisciplinary team
- Providing effective supervision, coaching and professional development
- Building positive relationships with residents, families, colleagues and external stakeholders
- Managing performance against key operational and quality indicators
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks and care standards
- Promoting a culture of accountability, continuous learning and improvement
- Working closely with senior operational leadership to deliver organisational objectives

This is a leadership position requiring a manager who is comfortable balancing quality, people, performance and commercial responsibility.
ABOUT YOU
You will ideally bring:
- Previous experience managing a medium to large care home
- A proven track record of delivering positive outcomes for residents and high standards of care
- Experience managing and developing large teams
- Strong knowledge of CI frameworks, legislation and care standards
- Experience managing operational performance and key performance indicators
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
- A professional, compassionate and values-driven approach
- The ability to create a supportive culture while maintaining clear standards and accountability
- The flexibility and adaptability to respond effectively to changing operational requirement

A nursing qualification, including RGN, RNLD or RMN, would be advantageous but is not essential for the right candidate
CANDIDATE SUITABILITY NOTE
Applications can only be considered from candidates with a proven track record of leading and managing a care home or substantial equivalent service.
