Registered Manager – Children's EBD Home

Location: Telford/Shropshire

Salary: Competitive (Dependent on Experience)

Hours: Full-Time

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and committed Registered Manager to lead our Children's EBD home. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader—or an ambitious Deputy Manager ready for the next step—who is dedicated to improving the lives of young people.

Our ideal candidate is someone who believes every child deserves the opportunity to thrive and is committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where young people can achieve positive outcomes. You will lead by example, inspire your team, and foster a culture of excellence, compassion, and continuous development.

If you are passionate about career progression, building high-performing teams, and making a lasting difference, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the children's home.
  • Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations, the Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards.
  • Create a warm, safe, and nurturing home where children feel valued and supported.
  • Develop, motivate, and inspire a dedicated staff team.
  • Recruit, supervise, and support staff through regular supervisions, appraisals, and professional development.
  • Promote therapeutic, child-centred practice throughout the home.
  • Develop personalised care plans that support each young person's emotional, educational, and social development.
  • Build positive relationships with young people, families, social workers, and external professionals.
  • Monitor safeguarding practices and ensure the highest standards of child protection.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively.
  • Drive continuous improvement and prepare the home for Ofsted inspections.
  • Promote a positive team culture where everyone works together to achieve the best outcomes for children.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
