Registered Manager – Domiciliary Care Service
Kelly Park Limited is seeking a passionate, proactive, and exceptional Registered Manager to oversee and develop our Domiciliary Care Service in County Durham. With 31 years of experience delivering high-quality care, we are seeking someone to lead with pivotal responsibility in ensuring compliance, excellence, and staff empowerment.

Kelly Park Limited has established a reputation for responsive and high-quality care services, based in County Durham. The Registered Manager role will play a key part in our Senior Management Team (SMT), driving continuous improvement, compliance, and staff development.
Purpose of the Role
The Registered Manager will ensure the effective management of the Home Care Service, delivering quality social care while promoting service users' independence. This role is accountable for compliance with regulated activities, including:
- Adherence to CQC regulations
- Local Authority Quality Band Assessments
- GDPR compliance
- Health & Safety standards
- Staff well-being and professional conduct
Key Responsibilities
1. Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure operational and regulatory compliance across all care delivery practices.
- Conduct audits and implement action plans for service improvement.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory standards, GDPR, and local authority requirements.
- Monitor staff safety, well-being, and performance, addressing concerns appropriately.
- Uphold the highest Health & Safety standards and deliver person-centred care.

2. Leadership & Team Development
- Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with staff to encourage engagement, collaboration, and commitment to Kelly Park’s values.
- Ensure clarity of roles and provide the necessary support for staff to perform effectively and safely.
- Oversee recruitment in collaboration with Recruitment Officers, ensuring a robust hiring process.
- Implement strategies to improve staff retention and foster a 文化 (company culture) of excellence.
- Conduct supervision meetings, follow-ups, and performance appraisals for direct reports.
- Ensure all staff maintain competency levels and attend mandatory training sessions.
3. Communication & Relationships
- Promote dignity and respect across the service for customers, staff, and stakeholders.
- Schedule regular face-to-face staff meetings to facilitate open communication and feedback.
- Develop strong relationships with social workers, community teams, and external agencies to support business growth.
- Act as an ambassador for Kelly Park, liaising with regulators, councils, businesses, and professionals to maintain strong working relationships.
- Attend stakeholder meetings (customers, families, complaints, health & safety) to ensure good working practices.
4. Business Strategy & Growth
- Support Kelly Park’s strategic goals, contributing to business development and planning.
- Ensure customer needs are regularly assessed and met, striving for best practice.
- Develop and support performance and quality assurance systems to enhance service delivery.

Essential Requirements
✅ Previous experience in Home Care (essential for managing a designated team responsibly). ✅ Full valid car driving licence with access to a vehicle. ✅ Strong IT skills (e.g., care management systems, compliance software). ✅ Superior communication and customer service skills. ✅ Proven ability to manage a fast-paced workload with decision-making under pressure. ✅ Experience of handling care scenarios and providing leadership. ✅ Minimum qualification of +DipHE/NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
Working Hours & Conditions
- Standard hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- On-call support required occasionally for the care coordination team during:
- Weekdays (07:00 AM – 05:00 PM, 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
- Weekends (07:00 AM – 11:00 PM)
- On-call support will be paid as a salary enhancement.
