Ofsted Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home

  • Salary: £50,000–£70,000 (experience dependent) + performance bonuses
  • Location: Chester
  • Required: Level 5 Leadership & Management in Health and Social Care
  • Experience: 2+ years in residential childcare management or supervisory role
  • Setting: Complex EBD needs, solo placement and multi-bed residential homes
  • Working Pattern: Flexible working pattern with a 40-hour contract

About the Opportunity

Join Bluestones Complex Care as an Ofsted Registered Manager and play a central role in delivering outstanding residential childcare. We are a progressive, expanding organisation where experienced managers have genuine influence over standards and direction.

Requirements

  • Level 5 Leadership & Management in Health and Social Care
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential childcare management or a senior supervisory role
  • Eligibility for Ofsted Registered Manager registration
  • Proven track record of delivering quality outcomes for children with complex needs
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulatory standards, the Children’s Homes Regulations, and safeguarding

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the children’s residential home, ensuring safe, nurturing environments
  • Drive Ofsted regulatory compliance and maintain outstanding inspection standards
  • Lead safeguarding and individual care planning for young people with complex needs
  • Manage solo placement and multi-bed home settings, adapting to individual young people’s needs
  • Recruit, build and mentor a high-performing support team
  • Contribute to organisational strategy and quality improvement as the business grows
