We’re looking for a kind, compassionate and resilient Registered Manager to join our Learning Disabilities Social Care Service in Newham.
Salary: £44,000.00 per annum (working 40 hours per week). (Some weekend and out-of-hours work may be required, along with covering the organisation’s on-call rota.)

About the Role
Customer-Facing Responsibilities
- Ensure the customer is central in their support, while promoting a co-production model
- Adopt active support to reinforce the Person-Beurled Support (PBS) model through coaching and leadership, ensuring all staff are competent and confident
- Work with teams to support data-driven decision-making and reduce incidents, promoting quality of life and high levels of participation in meaningful activities
- Work to the STOMP principles
- Support assessments of complex needs referrals
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of Behavioural Support Plans
Quality, Safeguarding, and Safety
- Serve as the CQC Registered Manager across services in the cluster
- Promote a person-centred culture and co-production
- Ensure services strive for continuous improvement
- Lead improvement action plans following quality audits and inspections, ensuring compliance and embedding improvements
- Manage safeguarding incidents effectively and escalate emerging risks
- Work promptly on HR issues and external partnerships
- Promote safe, consistent, and predictable environments (aligning with the Capable Environments framework)
- Enhance understanding of Behavioural Support Plans and its application

Financial and Performance Accountability
- Ensure service improvements lead to sustained financial and performance delivery
- Analyse and manage service budgets within set deadlines
- Support recruitment to fill operational gaps
Employee Management
- Be a role model for the team, establishing clear roles and effective person-centred teamwork
- Motivate and inspire colleagues to deliver the best support for customers
- Coach and develop person-centred approaches in teams
- Lead supervision and appraisal processes
- Manage safeguarding, recruitment, and contract matters with funding authorities
- Oversee resources and changes to foster innovation
Stakeholder Management
- Lead collaboration with commissioners and external partners, addressing areas for improvement
- Share learnings and improvements across the organisation
- Embed changes in policy and procedural gaps
Leadership & Compliance
- Ensure services are values-led and compliant with regulatory, legal, or best-practice standards
- Maintain alignment with strategic objectives through effective communication
- Commit to ongoing professional development
- Participate in on-call duties for the organisation
- Oversee services to deliver excellent customer support

About You
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience managing multiple services across a geographical area
- Ability to identify key areas for improvement, plan, and implement changes quickly
- Previous experience with management contracts and compliance
- Strong incident investigation skills for serious cases
- Proven coaching and people development abilities
- Excellent relationship-building, communication (written & verbal), and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work across different care specialisms
- Resilience, adaptability, and changemanagement skills

Key Qualifications
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent
- Experience managing contracts, resources, and budgets to meet targets
- Experience in housing or care management contracts, ensuring performance targets are met
- Strong track record in developing external partnerships for operational success
Desirable
- Other relevant professional memberships or specialist qualifications
- Positive Behaviour Support Qualification (or willingness to complete it within 12 months)
- Experience in care transformation or hospital-to-home initiatives
