Helping Build Something Exceptional
At Clan Care, we're building communities where children feel they belong, adults feel supported, and futures are shaped with care, ambition, and belief. We provide therapeutic residential care for children and young people who have experienced adversity—offering them stability, belonging, and hope.
Our name was chosen deliberately. A Clan is more than just a group of people; it’s a family connected by shared values, trust, and mutual support. That’s the culture we’re fostering here.
We are convinced that when children feel safe, valued, and supported, their futures transform. Equally, we believe team wellbeing is just as critical as the success of the children we work with, shaping our approach at every turn.
We’re an ambitious new organisation rapidly growing across England and Scotland. This isn’t just another Registered Manager role—it’s the opportunity to become one of the founding leaders of a business where your leadership will genuinely shape our future. Whether you’re targeting roles like Area Manager or Residential Independent, this is the chance to make an impact right from the beginning.
If you’re seeking a workplace where you can make a real difference, accelerate your career, and help construct something extraordinary from its inception, we’d love to hear from you.
The Role
We’re seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead two therapeutic solo children’s homes located in close proximity within Derbyshire.
This opportunity is for a full-time position, offering flexible working patterns. At Clan Care, we emphasise outcome-driven leadership over traditional working hours—meaning your approach remains focused on excellence rather than rigid schedules.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
