Role Overview
Location: Milton Keynes Contract: Full time, permanent Salary: £50,000 (Negotiable)
This role is based in a home that supports children with:
- Learning disabilities
- Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD)
- Global Delay
- Other special needs, including those with mental health needs
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the home and its staff to provide exceptional care for children with complex needs
- Ensure compliance with all regulations, including Ofsted requirements and Children Home Regulations
- Recruit, train, and develop a skilled team dedicated to child welfare
- Oversee individualized care planning and delivery for each child
- Maintain child safety and safeguarding standards
- Manage the home’s budget effectively to allocate resources responsibly
- Implement quality assurance processes for continuous improvement

Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum qualification: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a Manager/Deputy Manager in a similar setting
- Thorough understanding of legislation and standards in residential childcare
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal competence
- Passion for working with children and young people
- Commitment to fostering a safe, nurturing environment
