About The Role
We are seeking a supportive, motivated Registered Manager to join our team in Kent/Maidstone. This role is about making a meaningful impact on people’s lives.
Key Responsibilities
As a Registered Manager, you will:
- Lead support and care teams for individuals with learning disabilities and autism, ensuring they receive the care they need to live fulfilling lives while adhering to Care Quality Commission (CQC), funding bodies’ requirements, and Choice Support’s policies.
- Collaborate with Deputy Registered Managers, Team Managers, and staff to improve care standards and empower individuals based on their choices.
- Ensure service compliance with CQC standards, taking the lead during inspections and making necessary improvements.
- Support individuals in living the life they choose by encouraging independence, family connections, and goal achievement, while ensuring safe handling of health, medication, and finances. All decisions must comply with the Mental Capacity Act.
- Foster a strong team culture while working with the Deputy Team Manager to develop future leaders through training and mentoring.
- Manage recruitment, inductions, and staffing to guarantee service safety.
- Oversee budgets and financial sustainability, ensuring rotas align with support funding, needs, and agreed budgets.
- Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing updates, hosting visits, and supporting assessments.
- Maintain accurate, person-centred records and handle incidents as needed, ensuring timeliness and thoroughness.
- Act as the safeguarding lead, prioritising the safety and well-being of individuals.

About You
We’re looking for individuals who can demonstrate:
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Significant experience in running CQC-registered services, with a strong understanding of CQC standards and legislation (e.g., Care Act, Mental Capacity Act).
- Possession or progress towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience supporting team development.
- Experience in budget management, staffing, and service performance.
Desirable Competencies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Teams, and care management systems such as Nourish, Zellis MyView, and Sona.
- Discretion, accuracy, and strong organisational skills for record-keeping and documentation.
- A kind, empathetic approach, actively caring for the people we support.
- Excellent listening, communication, and adaptability under flexible conditions.

About the Opportunity
This role is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week), offering flexibility to meet service demands, including roster participation and on-call shifts. You will provide pragmatic leadership, work collaboratively within teams, and contribute to shaping the future of services.
Location & Flexibility
- Base location: Kent/Maidstone (with potential for remote or site-based work at locations within reasonable commuting distance).
