Exceptional Registered Manager Opportunity – Complex Mental Health & Specialist Care

Location: Northampton (Registered Care Homes) Salary: £50,000 – £54,000 + £6,300 travel allowance (dependent on experience)

Registered Manager – Northamptonshire Adult Care Homes

The Role

A key leadership position under our Adult Specialist Care Division, reporting to the Service Director and Associate Director of Nursing.

Core Responsibilities

  • Legal & Strategic Compliance

    • Ensure adherence to Health and Social Care Act and CQC regulations
    • Drive service excellence and continuous improvement
    • Maintain high governance standards to achieve Outstanding CQC ratings
  • Team Leadership & Culture

    • Lead coach teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred care
    • Foster a positive, engaging, and service-user-focused culture
  • Care Operations

    • Oversee care delivery, admissions, and discharge planning
    • Ensure smooth transitions for service users
  • Workforce & Resources

    • Manage staffing levels (compliance with CQC standards)
    • Maintain budgets and meet financial KPIs

Requirements

Essential

✅ NVQ Level 5 in Management (or equivalent) preferred ✅ Proven experience in CQC-regulated services ✅ Track record of outstanding care delivery (CQC rating of ‘Good’ or above) ✅ Strong team leadership in clinical and non-clinical fields ✅ Commitment to person-centred care vs regulatory excellence

Desirable

✄ Experience in learning disability or deafcare services ✄ BSL training (not mandatory; welcome deaf applicants with relevant qualifications) ✄ Passion for service innovation and quality improvement
