Registered Manager - New Adults Residential Service
Base location: Stoke-on-Trent
Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week
Salary: £42,000 - £45,000 per annum
Imagine walking into a service before it even opens its doors, and knowing you're the one who's going to bring it to life.
That's exactly what we're offering. We're opening a brand-new residential service in Stoke-on-Trent, purpose-built to support up to 6 adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs, and EUPD, and we need an exceptional Registered Manager to lead it from day one.
This isn't a service that's already running, with routines set and a team in place. This is a blank canvas. You'll be the one setting the tone, building the team, and making sure everything is ready before a single person moves in.
What makes this service different?
We've designed it with real intention, including a bespoke sensory room and a genuinely high-quality therapeutic care structure. Every detail has been thought through to help the people we support build independence, connect with their community, and live fulfilled, meaningful lives.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it:
- Lead the setup and mobilisation of the service from the ground up
- Recruit and shape a brilliant, values-led team
- Get the service ready compliant, safe, and welcoming for individuals to move in
- Embed a therapeutic, person-centred model of care that actually makes a difference
- Build strong relationships with commissioners, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Take full operational ownership as Registered Manager once the service is live

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
