Company Description

Panacea Children’s Home is a small, therapeutic two-bed children’s home in East Tilbury supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs.

Our approach is built around three core outcomes: stability, trust and progress. We aim to provide consistent, trauma-informed and relationship-based care that helps children feel safe, develop positive relationships and make meaningful progress.

We are strengthening our leadership team and are looking for an experienced, values-led Registered Manager who has the knowledge, confidence and energy to help establish and lead an excellent home from the outset.

Role Description

The Registered Manager will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and management of the home.

Working closely with the Responsible Individual, the successful candidate will lead the home through the Ofsted registration process and ensure that the service operates safely, effectively and in accordance with the Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and relevant statutory guidance.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the home’s Ofsted registration and readiness activity.
  • Providing strong, visible and child-centred leadership.
  • Ensuring children receive safe, consistent and high-quality care.
  • Maintaining compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, the Quality Standards and the Social Care Common Inspection Framework.
  • Implementing the home’s Statement of Purpose, policies and therapeutic model.
  • Leading care planning, risk assessment, safeguarding and behaviour-support practice.
  • Ensuring incidents, complaints, missing episodes and safeguarding concerns are managed, reviewed and reported appropriately.
  • Recruiting, supervising, developing and retaining a competent staff team.
  • Promoting reflective practice, professional development and a positive safeguarding culture.
  • Maintaining effective quality-assurance, auditing and monitoring systems.
  • Working collaboratively with social workers, families, education providers, health professionals, police and other agencies.
  • Managing rotas and resources while ensuring staffing arrangements reflect the needs and risks of the children.
  • Participating in the management on-call rota.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
