Registered Manager – Brand New Solo Placement Children's Home (EBD)
Location: Prestwich, Manchester
Salary: £55,000 per annum + Performance Bonus
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Deputy Manager ready to progress into their first Registered Manager position and lead the registration of a brand-new solo placement children's home in Prestwich.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established care provider that forms part of a larger organisation operating over 20 care services across the UK. With significant backing, experienced leadership, and long-term growth plans, you'll be joining a provider committed to building high-quality children's services the right way.
The home is a beautifully presented solo placement service for a young person with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). With the property complete and ready for registration, they're now looking to appoint the right Registered Manager to shape the service from the very beginning.

Although appointments are being made now, the provider is planning for a 2027 opening, allowing the successful candidate to remain committed to their current employer before beginning this exciting new chapter.
The Role
As Registered Manager, You Will
- Lead the Ofsted registration of a brand-new solo placement home
- Build a safe, therapeutic, and nurturing environment for the young person in your care
- Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing staff team
- Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and the Children's Homes Regulations 2015
- Develop strong relationships with local authorities and external professionals
- Drive high standards of safeguarding, care planning, and quality assurance
- Embed a child-centred, trauma-informed culture throughout the home
- Work closely with the Responsible Individual and senior leadership team to achieve Outstanding outcomes

You'll Ideally Have
- Experience as a Deputy Manager or senior leader within a children's residential home
- A genuine desire to progress into Registered Management
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding requirements
- Experience supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare, or be working towards it
- A full UK Driving Licence
- A passion for delivering exceptional outcomes for children and young people
