Package Description

We have an exciting opportunity within our brand new not-for-profit Children’s Services Residential Home in York. This service is a need-led children’s LD residential home, and we are now looking for an Ofsted Registered Manager to lead and develop the provision, setting the stage for a truly impactful service. Could this be you?

The successful applicant will lead, manage and support teams of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers across the home, while acting as a corporate parent to the children we care for, helping, supporting and ensuring they thrive in their day-to-day lives.

About The Role

As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our children’s residential home located in York, supporting children and young people with learning disabilities (LD) and other additional complex needs.

As an experienced manager, you will confidently lead and support dedicated teams, fostering a safe, positive, and inclusive environment where children and staff can thrive. You will play a key role in establishing and developing this new service, ensuring high-quality care delivery while maintaining full compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape and embed best practice across this home from the outset, ensuring outstanding outcomes for the children and young people we support.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
