Are you an experienced and passionate Registered Manager looking for an exciting opportunity to shape a new service?
We are seeking an exceptional leader to develop and manage Meadow House, our new 5-bed Ofsted-regulated Children's Residential Home in Hither Green, South East London. Supporting children and young people aged 11-17 years with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), you'll play a pivotal role in creating a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment where every young person has the opportunity to thrive.

Responsibilities
As the Registered Manager, you will hold overall responsibility for the leadership, management and performance of the home, ensuring it operates in full compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and Ofsted requirements.
You'll provide inspirational leadership to your team while maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding, care and regulatory compliance. You'll also be responsible for driving continuous improvement, managing budgets and resources effectively, and working collaboratively with professionals, families and partner agencies to ensure positive outcomes for every child.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
- Register with Ofsted as the Registered Manager and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
- Recruit, lead, motivate and develop a high-performing residential care team.
- Create a positive, child-centred culture focused on achieving outstanding outcomes.
- Provide supervision, mentoring, performance management and professional development opportunities.
- Ensure all staff receive appropriate training and support to deliver high-quality care.
- Chair team meetings and contribute to wider service planning.
- Promote safeguarding and ensure the welfare of children remains the highest priority.
- Oversee the development and implementation of individual care plans.
- Embed inclusive, anti-discriminatory practice throughout the service.
- Audit care records, monitor quality standards and implement improvements to enhance service delivery.
Operational & Financial Management
- Manage the home's budget, staffing resources and financial performance.
- Plan rotas to ensure safe staffing levels and efficient service delivery.
- Produce accurate reports, forecasts and management information.
- Monitor key performance indicators and quality standards.
- Build effective relationships with social workers, families, education providers, healthcare professionals, police and other partner agencies.
- Represent the home confidently during meetings, inspections and external forums.
- Contribute to policy development and wider organisational improvements.
- Lead business planning and ensure the home remains fully prepared for Ofsted inspections at all times.

About You
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- A minimum of 4 years' post-qualification experience within children's residential care.
- At least 2 years' management experience in a children's residential setting.
- In-depth knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations, safeguarding legislation and Ofsted inspection frameworks.
- Experience managing budgets, staffing and operational performance.
- Strong leadership, coaching and team development skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing.
- Experience working collaboratively with multi-agency professionals.
