Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Care

Manchester (M38) £55,000–£65,000 + £5,000 Welcome Bonus

At Madiba, we’re passionate about doing children’s residential care the right way. We’re a fast-growing, values-led provider of complex care across the North of England — and we’re on the lookout for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a brand new children's home, based in Manchester, M38.

About the Role

This isn’t just about managing a service. It’s about:

  • Building a culture
  • Developing people
  • Creating a home where children feel safe, supported, and genuinely cared for

If you’re ambitious, compassionate, and ready to make a real difference, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Leading, motivating, and developing a brilliant team of Team Leaders and Residential Support Workers
  • Creating strong rotations, overseeing inductions, training, and performance (fairly and consistently)
  • Ensuring care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding records are always up to standard
  • Managing budgets, staffing levels, and the smooth running of the home
  • Collaborating closely with senior leaders to achieve and maintain Good or Outstanding OFSTED outcomes
  • Most importantly — creating a nurturing, trauma-informed environment where young people can truly thrive

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
