We have a brilliant opportunity for a Registered Manager to join our Care Service in Newcastle, where you will lead our fantastic team of supported living workers and coordinators. As our Registered Manager and safeguarding lead, you'll ensure the high performance and quality assurance of your services using your experience and skills to effectively motivate and direct your colleagues. You will manage a number of Independent Living Services across Newcastle leading your teams to support our customers who are living with learning disabilities.
What you’ll do
- Lead and support your team, making sure everyone feels confident and ready to help our customers.
- Keep quality high by reviewing care plans and acting on feedback.
- Take the lead on safeguarding, spotting risks and making sure everyone stays safe.
- Build strong links with health, social care, and community partners.
- Organise rotas and on-call cover, keeping things fair and flexible.
- Use IT tools to track outcomes and share clear insights.

You bring
- You'll be an experienced Registered Manager operating at a 'Good Standard'
- You will have your level 5 Registered Managers Qualification (or be working towards it)
- Strong knowledge of CQC standards and regulations and how to apply them.
- You will have experience working with adults with learning disabilities and will have held a management role in these services.
- You'll have experience of leading reflective practice, coaching your team, and encouraging an open, fair and transparent culture.
- Experience of partnership working with inter-agency links in health and social care.
- You will support learning and innovation, as well as promoting an open and fair culture. You will ensure the competence of your team through a process of observation and assessment, coaching and directing as required.
- Confidence in managing rotas and 24-hour service cover.

The practical bits
- You'll generally work Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, however this is flexible as there will be times you might need to start a little earlier or finish a little later to meet the needs of the customers, and also to ensure you can make the important things in your home life too.
- You'll do the occasional week on call.
- As the services are across Newcastle, it would be really great if you had a driving license, car and car insurance business cover.
- You need an Enhanced with barring list DBS check (we pay)
