Registered Manager – Mental Health

Location: Merthyr Tydfil Salary: £45,000 per annum + 21% annual bonus

Keys Group is seeking an outstanding Registered Manager to lead our 7-bed residential home in Merthyr Tydfil, supporting individuals with complex needs, predominantly related to mental health, including mild learning disabilities and brain injuries.


About the Role

The ideal candidate will bring more than just experience—someone who leads with integrity, humility, and a profound understanding of what outstanding care truly entails. You will:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of our residential service.
  • Ensure a high standard of person-centred care for our residents.
  • Foster an environment where individuals are empowered to live lifestyles of their choice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead as a manager in a residential setting within mental health care.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to independence, choice, and respect for all residents.
  • Show excellent time management and organisation, working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Maintain compliance with CIW legislation, best practice updates, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure staff training and service quality upholds industry standards, particularly in managing learning disabilities and complex mental health needs.

Requirements

  • Experience in a leadership role within residential care for adults with mental health concerns.
  • Proven track record in managing teams, services, and quality improvements, with expertise in learning disabilities care.
  • Commitment to promoting positive values and person-centred approaches.
  • Strong awareness of CIW legislation, current trends, and best practice in mental health care.
  • A Level 4 or 5 qualification in mental health, adult care, or related fields (current studies accepted).
  • The ability to sunguinity lead, empower, and support teams to deliver exceptional care.
