About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to oversee the daily operations of a care home offering residential care. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care, managing staff, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a compassionate leader with a background in elderly, dementia, or Alzheimer’s care to make a meaningful difference in residents' lives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the care team to deliver personalised care plans tailored to residents’ needs, including dementia and elderly care.
  • Oversee medication administration in accordance with prescribed protocols, ensuring safety and compliance.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the care home, including staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and implement policies that promote high standards of quality and safety within the home.
  • Foster a warm, welcoming environment that promotes independence and dignity for all residents.
  • Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care services.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and industry standards related to senior and home care.
  • Lead staff recruitment, training programmes, and ongoing professional development initiatives.
  • Monitor resident wellbeing regularly and adapt care plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.

Requirements

  • Proven management or supervisory experience within a care home setting or a similar environment specialising in senior or dementia care.
  • Experience in developing and managing personalised care plans for residents with complex needs, such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide multidisciplinary teams effectively.
  • Familiarity with medication administration protocols and regulatory compliance related to eldercare.
  • Previous experience working in nursing or healthcare environments is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional organisational skills combined with compassionate communication abilities to support residents’ wellbeing.
