Role Description: Registered Manager (Full-Time, On-Site)

Role Overview

The Registered Manager provides full-time, on-site leadership within Greater London, with responsibility for day-to-day management of care services across:

  • Supported living
  • Community support settings

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service Oversight
    • Ensure care plans are person-centred, outcome-focused, and compliant with regulatory standards.
    • Defend quality and adherence to organisational frameworks.

  • Team Management

    • Oversee recruitment, induction, supervision, performance management, and staff training.
    • Foster a positive, inclusive culture with a focus on safeguarding.
  • Daily Operations

    • Monitor quality & compliance through:
      • Regular service audits
      • Risk management
      • Accurate documentation & reporting
    • Hold accountability for regulatory/timekeeping (e.g., CQC standards).
  • Stakeholder Engagement

    • Collaborate with:
      • Individuals & families
      • Commissioners & healthcare professionals
      • Housing providers
    • Address concerns, drive service improvement, and sustain strong external relationships.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications & Experience

📌 Demonstrated experience managing care services for adults, including:

  • Supported living
  • Community support
  • Equivalent regulated settings 📌 Thorough knowledge of:
  • Regulatory frameworks (e.g., CQC, Safeguarding Adults)
  • Safeguarding practices

Leadership & Management Skills

🔸 Staff oversight: Supervising, developing, and motivating teams. 🔸 Performance management: Identifying goals, addressing underperformance, and ensuring consistency in high standards. 🔸 Workforce planning: Ensuring adequate staffing and training alignment with service needs. 🔸 Culture building: Inspire inclusivity and collaborativeness across teams.

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent). 🆔 Registration eligibility:
  • Fully compliant with local manager registration requirements.
