About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and committed Registered Manager to take the lead at our CQC-registered Widmore Road Learning Disability respite service. In this pivotal role, you will shape the direction of the service, driving a culture of excellence and empowering your team to deliver consistently high standards of person-centred care.
Working closely with the London Learning Disability Locality Manager, you’ll have the autonomy to lead, innovate, and continuously improve the service—ensuring it remains safe, effective, and truly responsive to the needs of the people we support.
Your Key Responsibilities Include
- Delivering Outstanding Care Ensuring individuals receive personalised support that promotes independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion, with care plans that reflect their evolving needs.
- Driving Quality & Compliance Overseeing CQC registration and ensuring the Widmore Road service meets all regulatory and statutory requirements, maintaining safe, effective, and well-led services at all times.
- Leading & Developing Teams Providing day-to-day leadership to the staff team, ensuring effective management, clear direction, and ongoing support to maintain high standards of care and support delivery.
- Ensuring Accountability Managing safeguarding concerns, incidents, and complaints, while working closely with the Locality Manager to drive continuous improvement and ensure ongoing compliance across the service.

What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager is highly desirable.
- Demonstrable experience of working within a respite service, ideally within the Learning Disability sector.
- Strong understanding of the adult social care sector and relevant regulatory frameworks, including CQC requirements.
- Proven leadership and management experience with the ability to effectively oversee a service and staff team.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills.
- A flexible approach to working hours to meet the needs of the service.
- A minimum of 12 months remaining on your Right to work in the UK.
